From Chicago’s edge where the skyline gleams, A young man rose with determined dreams.
A voice for truth, for faith, for right,
He carried God’s word into the fight.
With Bible in hand and a patriot’s heart,
He sought to defend what set us apart.
A nation founded on freedom’s call,
He spoke with compassion and love for all.
Erika stood as his steadfast wife,
Together they built a faithful life.
Two children now will bear his name,
And carry the torch of his noble flame.
Though darkness struck from a rooftop high,
His spirit ascends where angels fly.
No bullet can silence the Word he spread,
No assassin can tarnish the path he led.
He taught that faith was more than creed,
It lives in our actions, our love, our deeds.
Conservative values with kindness sewn,
He made compassion his cornerstone.
Through Turning Point he gave a stage,
To youth who would carry the cause with age.
A mentor, leader, brother, friend,
Whose mission of truth will never end.
His laughter warmed, his kindness stayed,
For neighbors in need, his hand was laid.
And though the storm has claimed his voice,
In heaven now he will rejoice.
America grieves, her flag bows low,
The fields of Utah weep in woe.
But hope remains where his words were sown,
In countless hearts that call him their own.
Remember the man who prayed with might,
Who stood for freedom, for God, for light.
Though taken too soon, his witness remains,
In the gospel he loved, in the lives he changed.
So Erika, dear, and children too,
The nation now stands in grief with you.
For Charlie lives where no shadows fall,
In Christ’s embrace, who has conquered all.
